Sydney: Some prophetic thoughts

I wish to release (or re-release) these prophetic words for the city of Sydney. Two of them I received last month and have sought the Lord about them. I would welcome feedback, insight and discussion on this matter. I do not believe that these words are a fateful declaration, but through prayer and repentance we can see them mitigated.

Dec 1993

The first word I got for the city was in Dec. 1993. The Lord whispered, "Fire". You'll recall in Jan. 1994 the city was encircled with fire. I got the feeling God was about to start judging the city for her sins.

Dec 1995

In Lane Cove National Park Dec. 31, 1995. The Lord came to me and said: "The city of Sydney was set on fire, circled about, and burned throughout by evil pyromaniacs. These things were a sign. I will again set this city on fire! But not with evil, but for good, not by fire bugs, but by my Holy Ghost Fire Starters. There are holy men of God, who will spark the fires that touch the lives of every person in my kingdom one way or another!"

June 2004

Driving through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in June 2004, I heard a terrible noise, like an explosion, a shockwave, grinding metal and smoke. As we came out of the tunnel I prayed, feeling like there would be an act of terrorism in the tunnel. This experience repeated itself in Feb 2005.

Nov 4th 2005

I received this word on Nov 4th, 2005. On the front page of the news today was a fantastic visual image that grabbed me. The Lane Cove tunnel fell in today, and undermined the foundation of a building. The Lord specifically said to me, "Here it is, laid out before the city, the foundations of their property boom are being undermined" - that is the fundamentals undergirding the boom are being undermined.

Nov 8th 2005

On the flight home between Perth and Sydney we were flying over Goulburn. Far out on the horizon I could see (with my natural eyes) the glow of Sydney. Then I saw a massive angel over Sydney. He was taller than the center point tower. Then I realised this was a kind of projection, to get my attention.

I could suddenly see in the "spiritual" instead of natural. Everything was gold, silver, platinum, lead and black hues. I could see angels and demons rendered against this background.

I saw skirmishes, fighting in Wetherill Park, one at Rookwood Cemetary, on under the water in Bayview, one on the beach down by Sydney Airport, one in Campbelltown, one over by the Manly dam.

I saw decay, streets falling into sewers below; steam outlets failing; underground railway tunnels and conduits full of rats and hidden chambers; an underground city of sorts.

Then several suburb names came before me, ones which I am not familiar with: Kempton Park, Dundas, Woolstonecraft, Battery Park, Fern Hill and so on.

Then, as I gazed out the window again, I saw terrorist cells preparing in Sydney. "They have not found them all, there are several teams" said the angel. I could see two bombing teams: train and bus; a truck and tunnel team; and a water poisoning team.

I have given the word about property boom to several key investors, development managers and real estate planners to see and guage what their responses might be. Furthermore I think we are in a position to actually do something about these words (practically speaking). The last word seems to offer us a chance to pray that the terror cells would be uncovered and captured. God bless us all.
