    Testimony about "Go Deeper"

[As part of the prophetic training at Grace Canberra, we have been doing prophetic activations. These include how to hear God’s voice, how to test a word, how to give a personal prophecy and so forth. One of the lead mentors in the group is Geoff Roberts. His wife Jess teaches at Brindabella College, a high school which covers years 1-10 (ages 6-15). As part of our desire for equipping – teaching and training others who can teach and train others – we have seen situations like this one. Geoff, Jess and several of the staff and volunteers came together to host a couple of “Go Deeper” evenings at school. This is a report from a year Ten student.]

Go Deeper was an amazing time where we were really able to connect with God and hear from Him in ways most of us hadn’t before. We started off with some worship, to get the blood pumping, then Geoff talked to us about hearing from God, then we broke up into groups or went by ourselves to just spend time seeking God. It was amazing! There was so much that God wanted to tell each person! People were praying for each other, writing down what God was telling them, seeing pictures (visions) or just talking to one another about God. We were then encouraged to talk about what we had heard from God, what he had done in our lives.

So many people had such awesome things to share, it was so encouraging. They couldn’t shut us up! Even when we were praying to wrap the night up, people were still testifying to what God had done! God was totally right there with us, so real, like I’ve never felt him before. I was sitting there seeing God reveal himself to my fellow students and before I knew it, I was crying too. I felt incredibly overwhelmed with Gods love for every person who was there. God knows everything that’s going on inside us, he loves us so much he died for us. It was also like God was reassuring me that even though this is going to be my last year at this amazing High School He is by no means done with me or Brindabella. There’s so much God  has in store, so much more than any of us can imagine. It was also amazing to see the pursuit of God being lead by the students rather than just the teachers. I am really look forward to seeing God pour himself out on the school and our community. Yay God! Awesome.
